A proposed Settlement has been reached with Comcast Cable Communications, LLC, and Comcast Corporation (collectively, “Defendants” or “Comcast”), in a class action lawsuit regarding a cybersecurity incident that occurred in October 2023 in which a third-party gained unauthorized access to customers’ personal information (the “Data Breach”). The lawsuit claims that Comcast did not adequately protect personal data, had inadequate security measures, violated various laws, and failed to properly notify affected customers.
